![]() Series Director and PlatinumGames Founder Hideki Kamiya can be seen wielding the first samples of the Scarborough Fair Parsley and Sage replicas in a recent tweet from the development studio, as well as in a short clip from First 4 Figures’ Twitter. That project has finally emerged in the form of gun replicas, with variants based on Bayonetta’s Scarborough Fair Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme weapons. In 2017, Platinum partnered with First 4 Figures to produce Bayonetta -themed collectibles. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the original Bayonetta, and to celebrate, developer PlatinumGames has revealed an exciting new product line based on the titular heroine’s in-game weapons. Rodin & Rodin 2: Electric Boogaloo: Fun to play around with, not very good in actual combat. It’s been painfully long since we last heard any Bayonetta 3 news, but at least fans of the coquettish, gun-toting witch can now wait in style. They're basically only there to give you a challenge. Odette: I've heard that you can pull off some crazy things with Odette, but I've never seen or done those crazy things, so the weird, ugly ice skates go in the bottom. Onyx Roses: More or less identical to Unforgiven, but since I'm not locked into them like Rosa is with Unforgiven, I don't like them. So I'm saving it from D tier on that knowledge alone. It's, at best, niche, but I still love it. ![]() Maybe you'll have a different experience. Kilgore: I basically only use this for the Durga/Kilgore glitch. Kulshedra: It's a niche weapon, it's okay at pinning enemies down, but it's just worse than Alraune. I would make an F tier exclusively for Undine if I was basing it on my own experiences, but I've seen what Undine (especially ice) can achieve in the right hands, and it's pretty amazing. Kafka + Chain Chomp has a niche use for long range combat, but you won't be using Chain Chomp very much unless you really like him. I still like Umbran Climax more.Ĭhain Chomp: I love this lil guy, but he's not very good. Doesn't do much damage though, so its best used as a support for SF or something. It's really good at juggling and just overall being really fast. ![]() Sai Fung: I definitely should have put this in A. Pillow Talk: Just as good as Shuraba, but it takes a little more effort to use because of its charge modifier, and that extra effort usually just isn't worth it when Shuraba can do everything this can. Not S because the Star Fox outfit is lame. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Does a lot of damage with its Bullet Arts tho.Īrwing Guns: Identical to LiB in every way except for the Star Fox theme. Bazillions on the hands is identical to SF, but it's not as iconic. Not recommended on bosses.īazillions: The move set is the same as SF, but the Bullet Arts on the feet feels weird to me, so it's only A. If you pair it with Alraune and Bracelet of Time, you'll shred most enemies in seconds flat. ![]() I think I maybe should have put this in S tier. Salamandra: A very, very good weapon if all you care about is raw damage. Being able to switch between slow fire and fast lightning makes it a versatile weapon (Shuraba + lightning Durga is a very good combination, and one of the first you can get), but the Bullet Arts of both elements is kind of hard to use. Good for pinning down big crowds of small enemies.ĭurga: I used this a lot when I was learning how to play B1. Most people would probably rank them S, but I don't use them that much, so I personally leave them in A.Ĭhernobog: Basically an AoE version of Takemikazuchi. They'll can easily carry you your first time though both games since you get them pretty early. They're quick, precise, have a healthy amount of hitstun, and have some very good Wicked Weaves. Shuraba: Both Shuraba and Rakshasa are very good weapons. Unforgiven: I'd put this in A with the other guns, but because it's all Rosa can use, it's by definition S rank for her lmao You get the best of both worlds if you put SF on your hands, and LiB on your feet. Love is Blue: LiB has an easier time staying in the air though because some of SF's kick combos immediately ground Bayonetta, while the same combos on LiB don't. It and Love is Blue are roughly on the same level, but I would rank SF just above LiB because its combos are less clunky. Not recommended on bosses because it doesn't affect them. Paired with Bracelet of Time, it can completely disable any enemy it can grab. This + Alraune are my fave weapon combination in either game because I can pin enemies down and smash them to bits with good Bracelet of Time timing.Īlraune: See above, but also, Alraune is just really good. Takemikazuchi: This is at the top of the list simply because it's my favorite.
